Meet Josh – The Person Behind the REALTOR®

More Than Just Real Estate
Hi, I’m Josh. Most people know me as a REALTOR®. Others remember me from my years on television forecasting New Hampshire’s weather. But there’s a lot more to me than houses and weather maps.
Here’s a little about the person behind the business…

You’ll Usually Find Me On A Tennis Court

Most mornings start with tennis. I play around 90 minutes before starting my workday. It’s how I stay active, clear my mind, and recharge. There’s something about stepping onto the court first thing in the morning that sets the tone for the rest of the day.

The Water Is My Happy Place

When I’m not working, chances are you’ll find me on the lake. Whether it’s taking the pontoon out for a quiet evening cruise, watching a sunset, or simply floating and enjoying the peace and quiet, being on the water is one of my favorite parts of living in New Hampshire.

I’ve Always Loved Broadcasting

Long before I became a meteorologist, I was flying over Boston every morning and afternoon as a helicopter traffic reporter, giving live reports to several radio stations. It was an exciting job and one that helped launch my broadcasting career… that as well as 10 years as a radio morning show host on New Hampshire’s seacoast. Communication has always been part of my life, I started hanging around radio stations when I was in 7th grade.

Even growing up, it was in the family—my dad was one of those commercial jingle singers from the 1960s through the 1980s. If you grew up during that era, you’ve probably heard his voice without even realizing it. He even sang the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song.

Technology Geek with gadgets

I’m A Technology Geek

I freely admit it. I love technology. Whether it’s the newest phone, camera, drone, computer, AI tool, or gadget, I’m usually one of the first people trying it out. I enjoy learning how new technology can help me better market homes, communicate with clients, and make the buying and selling process easier.

Real Estate Should Be Enjoyable

Buying or selling a home is a big decision.Yes, it’s serious. But that doesn’t mean every conversation has to be. One of my favorite parts of this business is getting to know my clients. I’ve met some incredible people over the years, and many have become friends. I believe you can work hard, stay professional, and still have fun together along the way.

 My Most Memorable TV Moment

Without question…Bella.

One morning in 2018, while I was giving the live weather forecast, a huge Newfoundland dog quietly wandered into the studio behind me. I had no idea she was there. I had no idea my co-anchor, Amy, had brought her to work and that she had escaped!  As soon as I spotted her on the monitor, I had to think fast. So I smiled and said, “There is a dog behind me… but don’t worry, it’s not quite the Dog Days of Summer just yet.”

The clip exploded online. It was featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Inside Edition, television stations across the country, newspapers around the world, and has been viewed by millions of people. Even today, people still send me the video.

The Thing I’m Proudest Of

I’ve been fortunate to have a rewarding career in television and now in real estate. But if you asked me what I’m proudest of…It’s raising good kids. Nothing else comes close.

If we’ve never met, I hope this gave you a better sense of who I am. And if you’re thinking about buying or selling a home, I’d love the opportunity to get to know you, too.
